Project Lifesaver is not government sponsored and the program depends on the support of the community. Funding for the not-for-profit organization comes from concerned businesses in Windsor and Essex County. This includes company sponsorships, private donations, charitable foundations and community partners.

The Alzheimer Society of Windsor-Essex County is a major contributor to the success of the local Project Lifesaver Program however additional funding from the community is still required.
